The Husband's Birthday Celebration @ Gastro Sentral, Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur

It's has been awhile since my last post. Dear readers, I'm back. Was busy preparing my wedding for the past few months and enjoying the new marriage life after that. Will share my wedding experiences later. :)

Ichiriki @ The Gardens Mall

This restaurant is located near to Love & Co. at The Gardens Mall. Looking at the reasonable price, we decided to have a try.

Buta Mayo Don Set RM 22.00

It really taste nice. At least I enjoyed it. 

Katsu Nose Yakisoba RM 23.00

I'm not good in describing. In short, we were not that satisfied with their katsu and the noodles. I prefer the fried noodles from Sushi Zanmai.

W.A.W Restaurant 黄亚华小食店

相信大家都听说过Jalan Alor的黄亚华鸡翅膀很有名很好吃。终于有一天，我也慕名而去。想试试看是不是跟传说中一样好吃。

口味这种东西很主观的。我可是觉得没什么特别。

那一晚，真的让我吃的心里不舒服。我告诉自己，我再也不会光临了。写出来只是想要提醒读者你们也有可能遇到这样的服务。

终于找到位子坐下来后，等了好久好久，叫了好几次才等到有人来帮我们点菜。他们有那么多客人，点菜是不用记录的哦，我本来想说，真厉害的功夫，不是每个人都能做到。等到鸡翅膀都上桌了，饮料一杯都还没送上来。什么都得等很久，催了很多次才来，而且员工最喜欢视而不见，当看不到你在叫他。我知道顾客很多，通常这时候我的耐心也很好，要宽容一点，他们偶尔也会漏了单还没处理。可是，当比我们迟来的顾客都已经在喝在吃了，这就真的得催了。当饮料终于送上了的时候，我们发现员工拿错了一些饮料，就好声好气跟她说我们其实没有点这个，我们点了什么什么。那个员工很摆明就是因为懒惰再进去拿，死说是我们点的，她只是照这送来。我们坚决告诉她我们要她换掉，你知道她摆什么表情给我们看吗？就是一脸不爽的样子，还叹气的走回去换饮料。（外劳在发脾气了呢！)我体谅他们的幸苦，可是有必要这样吗？我们等了那么久也很无辜啊。

终于拿来之后，当然要还钱了。问题又来了。一直觉得加钱有点不太对。我的未来公公还真聪明，一样一样饮料问她多少钱，结果我们加起来的数字，不是她说的，她说多了。数字错了就是错了，她也没办法辩解啊。收了钱后，就等找钱。一边吃一边就在留意她什么时候要把钱还回来。结果等了很久还是没人来找钱，我未来公公又出招了，直接去柜台要钱了。正好那个印尼外劳也在那里，没得抵赖。

我们已经彻底失望到没话讲了。吃着的同时，还发生了惊吓很多人的事情。由于店铺隔壁就有楼梯，而且楼梯那里很暗，还有一个垃圾桶。什么动物最喜欢这样的环境？排第一的当然是老鼠啦！突然有一只很肥大的老鼠出现了，吓找了两桌都是女生的顾客。老鼠的动作真快，一下就不知大跑去哪儿了。我还是亲眼目睹呢，吓得我的赶快把脚缩起来。一边吃一边看一下周围，看看有没有老鼠的踪影。

咖喱山猪肉 Wild Boar Curry. This is spicy but I like it. Curry should be spicy. ;)

Restoran Stadium Negara 国家体育馆海鲜生锅园

记得有一次经过，觉得它的店名很特别。不知道是否有特别的意义。终于有机会来这里一试。据说这里的烧鸡翅很好吃。而且，应该是halal的，因为马来同胞也会来吃。

I notice this restaurant has a very special name, long ago when I pass by. Is there any story or meaning to name this restaurant as Restoran Stadium Negara? :) I finally got a chance to give it a try. I was told that their grilled chicken wings are very nice. 

I think this restaurant is halal since there are Malays dining here too.

如果要找停车位，你可以转进他们店前的小路，进去后，你会发现右手边有一块空地，你可以把车停在那里。不用给钱。空地对面的停车场就要给钱咯~~~

To find parking, turn into the small lane in front of the restaurant, go slightly further down then you'll see a parking space on your right. No charge for the parking there. But, please take note that there is another parking space on your left, that one you will have to pay.

很多人吃火锅。他们是用传统炭烧的。也有人吃煮炒。你可以坐里面有冷气的或者坐外面。

Some people ordered steamboat and they were using the traditional charcoal steamboat. Some people ordered chinese dishes with rice. You can opt to sit inside with aircond or outside with the natural air.

烧鸡翅 Chicken Wings @ RM 3.00 each. We ordered 6 pieces. This is toooooooooo GOOD!! Must try!! The best ever grilled chicken wings I had.

咸蛋虾糕 Fried Salted Egg with Prawns RM 15.00. This serving is consider quite small.

清炒芥兰 Stir Fry Kai Lan RM 12.00. This comes in very small serving too.

除了以上三道，我们点了一杯雪茶(RM 0.70), 一罐菊花茶(RM 3.00), 2碗饭(RM 2.40), 再加上他们给的餐前花生 (RM 2.50) 和6% govt tax, 4% service charge, 总共花了 RM 59。是贵了点。可能很多外国人来吃的原因吧! 

Besides the 3 items above, we also ordered one glass of cold chinese tea (RM 0.70), 1 can of chrysanthemum tea (RM 3.00) and 2 bowl of rice (RM 2.40). Including the peanut which they served (RM 2.50), 6% govt tax and 4% service charge, the total bill is RM 59. It's quite expensive, probably because there were many foreigners dining here.

峰华潮州粥 Fong Wah Teochew Porridge

为了避开车龙，我们决定在Times Square 附近吃个宵夜。原本想去吃强记补品，怎知道没开，暗暗的，不知道是没开还是收档了。最后决定看看哪些店有比较多人的就去哪间 （安全为上，毕竟晚上了）。:)

没想到这么晚了，都已经晚上十点多了，还有那么多的选择。

还想说吃粥正好，应该不会太饱，没想到一份白粥的分量都让我觉得很饱。我好喜欢他们的猪肚汤，重重的胡椒味，我喜欢！

两个人吃这样，真的吃到撑肚子了。总共吃了RM 30。

Estilo Spanish Tapas Bar & Charcoal Grill @ Publika

This was recommended by my fiance. He said the paella is nice. 

A Spanish restaurant with chinese red lantern hanging at their entrance, and angpow also. :)

 

I have not been to any Spanish restaurant, I have no idea at all how their food taste like. I only know how tapas look like. My first try!

We had orange juice and a cheese baked potato here.

Ta daaaa...here's the main dish of the night. This is Paella Mariscos (with mussels, squids, prawns, clams and deep sea snapper in rich seafood and chicken stock) RM 58 (small).

Never look down on this small portion, it's really filling. We were so full that we were forcing ourselves to finish it.

I really recommend this seafood paella as it is really good!! Worth every penny.

We had a Living Social gift voucher from someone and we decided to use it to celebrate dad's birthday.

They served complimentary bread in a paper bag with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

 

 Here are 2 of the drinks we ordered - Mojito (RM 22) and Mai Tai (RM 28) if I'm not wrong. :)

Crema di Funghi (RM 24) - Mixed mushroom soup.

Caeser Salad (RM 28) - Baby romaine lettuce, sliced roasted chicken breast, parmesan cheese and toasted focaccia with caeser dressing.

Maiale Tonnato (RM 30) - Thin slices of roast pork loin with tuna and caper sauce.

Salmone (RM 55) - grilled salmon steak, sauteed spinach, artichoke with lardo "livornese" sauce

Petto di Pollo Grigliato (RM 48) - Grilled chicken breast with soft polenta, jus and french beans

Merluzzo (RM 68) - Baked cod fish with mussels, asparagus, tiger prawns, cherry tomatoes and bacon

This is complimentary cake for my dad, a carrot cake. I did some research online knowing they could do this if you're visiting them for special occasion, so I made a call to ask for this surprise. A successful surprise! Yeah!

I think the total bill is around RM 400. Yes, it's expensive. The voucher helps a lot. :)
